VISITING MISSIONARIES - This Sunday
Scott and Nikki Russell, our missionaries to Chile, will be worshipping with us Sunday, May 20. They will visit with their adopted ABF Class, One Accord, at 9:30am and then join us in worship 11:00am. Pleasegive them a warm West Park welcome and make them feel right at home!

THAILAND MISSIONS TRIP
Please be in prayer for our first ever Women's Ministry Missions Team going to Thailand from May 24-June 7. They will serve alongside our National Partners in ministering to the women and children there.

FOCUS GROUP MINISTRIES
FOCUS Christian Academy needs volunteers to facilitate classes for prisoners in the Knox County Jail.
Class facilitators need for the following:
"Stepping Into Freedom" - a 12-step program
"Free To Grow: Overcoming Setbacks and Disappointments" - discussion group
You don't have to be a teacher, just allow the Holy Spirit to guide the discussions.
When: Wednesdays
Time: noon - 2:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm

Volunteer Orientation
If you are interested in serving and FOCUS Prison Ministries, they offer a volunteer orientation the first Friday of every month. This is an opportunity to come and see what they do and how you can get involved.

ELDERCARE MINISTRY - Dogwood Terrace Summer Fun
Come and help start the summer off with our friends at Dogwood Terrace! We will have food, fun, and of course, watermelon to help remind us of summers past. Many of the residents are on a fixed income and may not have extra money for fresh fruit and many do not have regular visitors. We can show them the love of Christ and remind them how precious they are to God. We need lots of folks to make this happen!

Time: Noon - 2:00pm (set-up begins at 11:00am)
Needs: Bring your lawn games (corn hole, plastic horseshoes, etc) for a day of fun!

ELDERCARE MINISTRY - Transportation Needs
There is a need for a couple who is lacking transportation. They have spent $100 in taxi fees in just one week! They need transportation to doctors' appointments and therapy. Days and times vary. Any help is appreciated.

SERENITY SHELTER
Our fun activities are bridge-builders for relationships to prepare the way for our times of Biblical teaching in the chapel, or Tuesday group Bible Study, and one-on-one mentoring. Saturday, May 19 at 10:00am, we'll be making something beautiful out of something plain...just like God does for us!

KARM - Dragon Boat Race - June 23
The annual Dragon Boat Festival Race is KARM's biggest fundraiser and WPBC has their first-ever team: Polson's Pirates!
Although our paddling team is complete, there is still room for you to partner with us in our effort to raise money for KARM. Our team goal is $4,000, which will provide over 2,100 meals for the most desperate in our community.
To make a donation:

WP COLLEGE BARN PARTY
West Park College and CRU will host a community-wide college event on Tuesday nights throughout the summer in the Hub at 7:00pm. Starting May 22, we'll kick off the summer with a Barn Party! The night will be complete with snacks, square dance and other games! This event is for college students and upcoming freshmen community-wide so invite your friends!

COLLEGE GATHERING
Join us for WP College Gathering each Sunday morning at 11:00am in the Round Building.

COLLEGE FULL HOUSE
Full House will meet once a month throughout the summer. Our next Full House will be May 24 at 7:00pm at the Perelmans. As always, join us for a free dinner. For more information, contact Sara Staab.

COLLEGE RAFTING TRIP
College students and graduating HS seniors: join us June 3 for a day on the river. This is a great time to get to know each other! We'll leave the Round Building at 11:00am and return to the Hub for an evening BBQ.
Cost: 2012 HS Seniors, $15; Everyone else, $30.

WOMEN'S MISSION TEAM
Our team departs on Thursday, May 24, and returns Thursday, June 7. Pray for this team of 4 teenage girls and 4 women as they go to serve with our partners John and Nut in ministry to orphans, women, and villages.

HOLDING ON TO HOPE
If you were with us for our annual retreat, be sure to stop by the Women's Credenza in the Welcome Center and be reminded of our HOPE. If you were not able to join us, come see the visual testimony of what God did through our sweet time of teaching and fellowship, then plan to be a part of our retreat next year.

GOLDEN HEIRS CHOIR
Music is truly the universal language. Our mission is to share the love, joy, and peace of God through song and fellowship. We sing the wonderfully old traditional hymns and fun songs from the 1910's - 1950's. Rehearsals are Monday mornings, 10:15-11:15am, September through May. The choir sings at assisted living facilities and nursing homes. This year, 2011-2012, we presented 21 programs at 10 different places.

Our next musical sharing is as follows:

Rehearsals: We will resume in September 2012.
