Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." Luke 24:46-47

LOCAL IMPACT MINISTRY Defined - Sharing the message and ministry of Jesus Christ to the people of our Jerusalem by ministering to their needs both, spiritually and physically.

All of the West Park Core Values culminate in our passion to make disciples:

  • In our Jerusalem - across the street
  • In our Judea and Samaria - across the city
  • To the end of the earth - across the globe

At West Park, we commit 1.5% of all tithes to invest in local impact. In addition, we encourage our church family to give offerings above their tithe to further maximize the open doors that God directs us through across our Jerusalem. Added together, these funds allow us to support and work with a focused number of ministries, city partners and agencies. We believe in developing solid long-term relationships with those we partner. We endeavor to assist them in as many ways as possible as we give, work, and minister.

Elements of Local Impact Ministry

1. Local Impact Leadership Team (LILT)
This Team focuses on developing our local partners, ministry opportunities, and equipping for those ministries. It recruits ministry team leaders and members to partner with us in ministry throughout the surrounding WPBC area within Knox County.

2. Local Impact Information Display and Table
You will find current information, forms and updates on Local Impact at the Local Impact Table located in the blue tile foyer located next to the Welcome Center. Check the scrolling TVs for current service opportunities throughout our community.

3. Local Impact Service Opportunities and Partnerships Booklet
You will find a booklet listing our current Local Partnerships and Service Opportunities on the Local Impact Table. This booklet is an excellent way to get connected to community ministries.
