Senior Adult Ministry

They shall bear fruit in older years;
they shall be fresh, green, and flourishing.
-- Psalm 92:14

Life in the senior years can be quite challenging and exciting, as you continue actively serving the Lord and others. Our goal as we share the love of Jesus Christ with older members and friends is to bring seniors to a personal relationship with Christ, to help them grow to be like Him, and reflect Him to others.

We have never suggested an age for becoming active in West Park Senior Adult Ministry. Anyone who wants to be part is welcome. Whatever your age, you will discover fulfillment, joy, and fellowship as you grow with us.

While many seek to deny or alter the symptoms of growing older, for the Christian, it is indeed a badge of honor. Senior adult Christians, many of whom have lived with decades of experience with the Lord, are a unique treasure and resource to the Church. It is the goal of this ministry to utilize the gifts and talents of senior adults to their fullest extent and to the greatest benefit to the Lord and His church.

Using the verse of Psalm 92:14 as a challenge, West Park provides opportunities for personal ministry and spiritual growth for Senior Adults: Bible classes, Senior Adult Choir, Grief Share, monthly luncheons, quarterly overnight trips, and Mt Pisgah Ministry (making Bibles). As we grow in grace together, let's model what it means to finish the race strong, always growing in our relationship with God and with each other.
