You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
Calling all Moms! Do you need encouragement? Are you feeling tired, lonely, or spiritually empty? Mom’s Chair is just what you need to recharge and reconnect.
If you think parenting and balancing the demands of life is hard, you’re not alone! Every woman struggles with her identity and value, especially when confronted with the perpetual tasks of running a home, caring for children, and supporting a spouse. Mom’s Chair is a place to come for a time out in God’s Word. We will share Scripture and practical tips so that your spirit can be renewed.
We first gather for a word of encouragement centered on God’s redeeming gospel message. We hear from seasoned moms who have learned how to apply God’s Word in their everyday lives. They give truths from Scripture and practical everyday strategies for parenting, marriage, homemaking, and personal growth in our walk with the Lord.
We then break off into small groups for a more intimate time of sharing. In these small groups, you’ll build relationships with new friends receive accountability, and gain prayer partners.
No matter what stage of life you are in, or how many kids you care for, Mom’s Chair will encourage you in your pursuit of being a godly woman. We know this will be time well spent, but also, your unique experience as a mom could be just what another struggling mom needs to hear.
Come check us out! We gather on the 2nd Friday of the month (some changes are made to align with the Knox County Schools schedule – see our actual schedule below).
Gatherings take place in The Hub from 9:15-11:30 a.m. during the school year. Brunch and coffee are provided. We provide childcare for newborns to preschoolers. Additionally, we offer a fun and educational program from home-schooled children in K-5th grade. The cost for the year is $20 (or just $10 per semester).
We are excited to be your biggest cheerleader this year!
