Vision

To evangelize people with life-controlled problems and initiate the discipleship process to the point where the student can function as a Christian in society applying biblical principles in relationships in their families, church, vocation and the community.  To help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, and spiritually alive.

Ministries

The Teen Challenge of East Tennessee Counseling Center is currently located at 3128 Linden Avenue in Knoxville.  We offer Christian counseling for families and individuals who have any life-controlling problems such as – drugs, alcohol, fear, rebellion, marital problems, anger, etc…Our main focus is to point people away from these problems by pointing them to their only solution – Jesus Christ. We also offer referral services for those individuals (teens or adults) struggling with certain additions. Teen Challenge has over 160 long-term residential programs in the United States.  Our office will help explain to the individual the specifics about the program, help find an open bed space and help to fill out the necessary paperwork and make the proper arrangements for entrance into a residential program.  If you or someone you know needs residential care, please feel free to have them call us.

Teen Challenge of Knoxville has a desire to begin a ministry to the prostitutes. We have been offering free Christian counseling in the Knoxville area since 1983. The Teen Challenge of East Tennessee Ladies Crisis Center will be located at 3128 Linden Avenue once the construction of our new offices at 3127 Martin Luther King is complete.  The Crisis Center will Minister to women with drug and alcohol addictions who want to enter long-term residential care.  We will help the women with the applications, medical work, dental work, and the raising of funds necessary to enter the next phase of Teen Challenge while giving them a place to stay.  Their stay with us may be two to twelve weeks in length.  The program will be very structured and disciplined and filed with training and discipleship.  The discipleship process, if applied, will bring wonderful changes to their lives and the lives of their families.  These programs last 12 to 15 months and concentrate on Christian discipleship and growth. There is an 86% cure rate for those who graduate the program.

The renovation of the building and the opening of the ladies crisis center will allow us more ministry opportunities to the prostitutes. As they reach out for help, we will have a place to house them and bring them to Jesus Christ. We want to offer them more than words. Jesus is their answer
