Wednesday Night Prayer Gatherings
Join the West Park church family for two special nights of prayer on July 17 and 24. Searching for godly men to be our church Elders is a major job and requires the intentional prayers of God's people. Come to The Hub to learn what the Bible says Elders must be and do, to be instructed how to pray for them, and to pray! Refreshments and fellowship will follow in The Hub cafe.

Back-to-School Backpack Drive
Summer isn't quite over yet but it won't be long before school begins again. Our Backpack Drive is a way to provide children in our community with a very specific need, supplies to kick off their school year. Here's how you can help. Stop by the Welcome Center to pick up a supply list (below), go shopping, returned filled backpack on or before Sunday, August 4 to the Welcome Center. Donated backpacks will be distributed through our Bread of Life Food Pantry and CedarBrook Outreach.

Kids today are facing some really hard challenges. Our Awana program provides kids with Biblical truths and a firm foundation that you can be a part of. God is doing amazing things with our kids. Be a part of the excitement.

Sonlight Today Devotionals
The devotional, Sonlight Today, is available in the Welcome Center and Front Lobby. There is no charge, but donations for these guides go to support the ministry of CedarBrook Outreach.
Updated Church Directories
The updated church directories are now available by contacting the church office during normal business hours. Each family who had their pictures taken by the directory photographers will receive one free directory. All other directories cost $5 each.
Acting/Writing Summer Workshop For Adults
Playwright, Director, and Professor Lisa Soland will lead a week-long actor/writer summer workshop through CedarBrook Outreach. The week will conclude with a performance of the original work being presented to an invited audience on Friday. Scholarships are available based on need. To sign up, send a resume to Lisa Soland at Space is limited in order to maximize the experience.

CBO "Wild About Reading" 
CedarBrook has two summer lunch feeding programs, one at Natures Cove on Bakertown Road and one at The Pines on Francis Road. This year we will be adding a reading initiative to encourage the children to keep reading. If you would be willing to volunteer one hour a week to listen to a child read, we need you. If your business or office would like to sign up for one or more reading opportunities over the summer, we would love to designate a day! Example: today's reading buddies are from Doorway Service and Solutions.

ESL Serving Opportunities
Are you interested in teaching ESL? We have serving opportunities for both youth and adult classes. ESL classes will be on Tuesdays, starting August 13, from 6:30-8:00pm, as well as at other locations at various times. ESL Classes/Registration
Registration dates for ESL Fall 2019 are July 30 and August 1st, 6th, & 8th. Cost for adults is $25-$40 (prices are based on the book level purchased). No cost for kids ESL. Signs will posted pointing you to the registration area.

This summer, CedarBrook will hold a Feeding Program and we want everyone to be able to eat! Please consider donating gift cards for Sam's Club, Walmart, and/or Little Caesars Pizza. Drop gift cards off at the box in the Children's Center.

Volunteer Opportunity - Bread of Life
On the first Tuesday of every month, West Park's Bread of Life Food Pantry gets a delivery from Second Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers are needed to help unload the truck. The task involves light to moderate lifting. If you are available to help this Second Harvest team once a month, email Men and women are welcome. This is a great opportunity for students who need volunteer hours.

Volunteer Opportunity - Medical Team
Attention physicians, nurses, EMS personnel or first responders! We are in need of 2-3 more team members to help on the West Park medical team. If you are active or retired in any medical field and know CPR and AED procedures, we need you. Team members serve one Sunday a month or less depending on the size of the team.
