Sonrise Adult Bible Fellowship Launches this Sunday!
Are you an early-riser? Would an 8:00am ABF work for you? We're launching a new ABF called Sonrise, led by Pastor Larry Bradley. Adults of all ages welcome. Come and join us!

Wednesday Night Activities Ramping Up!
Some Wednesday night activities have begun, others begin soon -- and there is something for everyone. Take note of these start dates and join us!

Choir/Orchestra Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6:30pm, in the auditorium

Awana: August 16, for children age 2 - 5th grade

Student Ministrieskicks off on August 16 in The Hub
D-Groups for
Middle School students and 633 for High School students

Training Classes begin in September 
Family Gathering
Starting August 27, we will begin gathering as a church body on one Sunday evening each month to focus on inspiration, information, and intercession related to the ministry and mission of our church. The specific focus of these gatherings will vary from month to month, but each one will help unite us as God's Family in sharing life and ministry together. Please plan on being part of this first Family Gathering. A time of refreshments and fellowship will follow.

Thank You for Donating Backpacks!
Thank you to everyone who so generously donated a backpack and school supplies during our recent Backpack Drive. You helped our community's youth in need return to school ready to learn. A total of 135 backpacks were collected.

Of the 135 backpacks collected, 35 went to families through the Bread of Life Food Pantry.

The remaining 100 backpacks were distributed to the following schools:
  • Cedar Bluff Elementary
  • Ball Camp Elementary
  • Amherst Elementary
  • Beaumont Elementary
  • West Hils Elementary

Golden Heirs Rehearsals Resume
Golden Heirs, the Senior Adult choir, is one of our most active Senior Adult ministries. We sing all across the East Tennessee region visiting nursing homes and assisted living sites regularly. While we love traditional hymns, we don't shy away from tackling other genres of music. This ministry is open to all seniors, no experience necessary.

When: Mondays at 10:15am, beginning August 14

A Revelation Study
All women are invited to join this group reaping the message of Revelation! Each week, we will learn together as leader Peggy Harvey delves into the timeless themes and applications Revelation has in store. Plan to come and bring a friend!

ESL Teacher Certification Course
This two-day ESL Teacher Certification Course is for church-based ESL ministry leaders, teachers, and volunteers. This certification is authorized by the North American Mission Board and is nationally and internationally recognized.

Volunteers Opportunity - "Mommy & Me"
If you are interested in helping women and their toddlers learn English and life skills while sharing their culture and making new friends, please join us to hear how you can serve in this vital ministry. You are welcome to serve as individuals or as a family with your children.

FriendSpeak
FriendSpeak is a one-on-one relationship ministry program to help improve conversational English skills. But unlike traditional ESL classes, this literacy missions program emphasizes meaningful conversation, not just teaching the text. The result is a series of heart-felt conversations about faith, love, and the Source of hope!

Individuals and small group leaders are encouraged to come learn about this unique outreach ministry opportunity that has been present in Knoxville for over 20 years.
